Tim and Jenn's Wedding

Jenn and Tim were great to work with. Shooting in Albuquerque was fun and both families made this three day shooting schedule a wonderful experience.

SOL... its not what you think.

I think I've mentioned these photos before, but regardless we get assignments down here called Slice of Life. These are profiles that run on A2 in the paper most of them are pretty boring, however you do get to practice lighting and sometimes you get meet some incredibly interesting people.

Like Bob Stovall who was a horse racing jockey and now judges dog races along with cruises his 1973 Lotus Europa with a Lotus car club here in the Valley. This guy has lived everywhere from coast to coast and a few stops in between.

Crowded House...

Last night the Harlingen City Commission held a meeting, part of which was spent talking about annexing 2,500 acres of land near the cities borders. The Commissioners Chambers was packed with people, seemed most were against the annexation.

Leame Holm and her husband Keith Holm came down to the City Commissioner meeting on Wednesday to voice their opinion on the proposed annexation plan that would bring in 2,535 plus acres of land in to the City of Harlingen. with the commission chambers full of residents Holms and other had to watch and listen from the hall way adjacent to the chambers.

Beach Bumming...

After shooting Port Isabel High's football practice I drove over the cosway and hunted down some art on the Island. Sometimes being the awkward looking guy with cameras helps get good photos.

New Air Wing...

Went flying with some MMA summer campers who are getting some flight training. I was nervous but man I had a great time.

Revisiting Hurricane Dolly much of the Tio Cano Lake region of Willacy county is still recovering from the storm a year later. Many House remain empty after being flooded forcing their owners to leave.

More Fun with the G10

So in the tradition of the Olympus XA 2 camera which I have read many photographers would load with b&w film and keep it in their pocket, I decided to put my G10 into Black and White mode and shoot with it for a few days. I'm really digging this camera, now it will never replace my big guns, but it has its uses. On to the photos...

Testing out my new toy...

I bought a canon g10 this past week and ended up testing it on some night fishing, I think she held her own.
