These are boys from the Edna Tamayo Halfway House. They spent their Friday morning cleaning and clearing trails at the Harlingen Arroyo Colorado Birding Center.
Ok so I wish I could write a nice caption for these but since it is 12:00am and I don't want to go back to my office to pick up my notes. I will simply say this gentleman has been refurbishing and repairing furniture for 20 some odd years.
All this driving around looking for wild art has reminded me that as journalists, as photographers. WE get paid to be curious, what a privilege that is. I drove by this mans home/workshop and just walked in and started asking him questions. Luckily he was nice enough to let me hang out for a bit and shoot some photos. WE are very luck I hope even with all these layoffs and bad times in the media industry we remember that our jobs are to open the eyes and minds of others who might not be as curious as we are. Ok enough with the "WE" stuff...

Juan Angel Guerra Walks from the Willacy County Court House to the 13th Court of Appeals in Edinburg about 46 miles Tuesday, to protest a decision made by a Judge to throw out Guerra's inditement's against former Vice President Dick Cheney and a handful of other people.
